Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cheese: Slice the halloumi into approximately 1/2-inch thick pieces to ensure even grilling and achieve the perfect crispy exterior with a tender interior.
  2. Preheat the Grill or Pan: Heat a grill pan or outdoor grill over medium-high heat. Lightly brush the halloumi slices with olive oil to prevent sticking and help form a golden crust.
  3. Grill the Halloumi: Place the cheese slices on the hot grill and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and slightly charred, using a wide spatula to flip gently.
  4. Add Finishing Touches: Once grilled, drizzle fresh lemon juice over the slices and sprinkle with freshly cracked black pepper. Add optional herbs or spices as desired before serving.

  • Pat the halloumi slices dry with paper towels before grilling to remove excess moisture and enhance browning.
