Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, washed, stems removed, and chopped
  • 1 ripe banana, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
  • 23 tablespoons water or coconut water

Optional Variations

  • 1/4 cup blueberries or raspberries (for berry mix)
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened peanut butter (for peanut butter swirl)
  • Substitute Greek yogurt with coconut yogurt (for dairy-free option)
  • Sprinkle of fresh mint or parsley (for herb infusion)
  • 2 tablespoons pureed carrots or pumpkin (for vegetable boost)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Fruits: Wash the strawberries thoroughly, remove the stems, and chop them into smaller pieces. Peel the bananas and slice them before adding to your blender or food processor.
  2. Blend the Ingredients: Add the strawberries, banana slices, plain Greek yogurt, optional honey, and water or coconut water into a blender. Blend until smooth and creamy, making sure there are no large chunks left.
  3. Pour Into Molds: Transfer the mixture into silicone molds, ice cube trays, or small containers. Using silicone molds shaped like bones or paws can make it extra fun for your pup.
  4. Freeze: Freeze the mixture for at least 4 hours, or until fully set. For smaller bites, use an ice cube tray that allows for perfect, easy-to-serve portions.
  5. Serve to Your Dog: Once frozen solid, pop out a few treats and offer them as a cool snack on a sunny day or after a long walk.

Notes

  • Use ripe strawberries and bananas for best natural sweetness and easier blending.
  • Honey is optional; avoid if your dog has allergies or sensitivities.
  • Freeze in small portions to avoid waste and keep treats fresh.
  • If the mixture is too thick, add a splash of water or coconut water to smooth it out.
  • Introduce the ice cream slowly to ensure your dog enjoys it and has no adverse reactions.
