Easy to prepare with versatile cooking methods including baking, frying, or air-frying, they make a delicious and crowd-pleasing appetizer or main dish.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken Wings

  • Chicken wings (fresh or thawed, about 2 pounds)

Sauce

  • 34 garlic cloves, minced fresh
  • 1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 12 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 12 teaspoons lemon juice (optional)

Seasoning and Cooking

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Wings: Pat the chicken wings dry thoroughly with paper towels to ensure crispy skin during cooking.
  2. Season and Cook: Toss the wings lightly with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Bake at 425°F for 25–30 minutes on a wire rack until golden and crispy, or fry until golden brown, or air-fry for 20–25 minutes, turning halfway through.
  3. Make the Garlic Parmesan Sauce: While wings cook, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant but not browned. Remove from heat, then stir in freshly grated Parmesan cheese and a splash of lemon juice if using.
  4. Toss and Coat: Transfer the hot, crispy wings to a large bowl. Pour the warm garlic parmesan sauce over them and toss thoroughly to coat all wings evenly. Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley for color and freshness.
  5. Serve Immediately: Serve the wings right away while hot and flavorful, alongside your favorite dipping sauces or a crisp salad.

Notes

  • Always pat wings dry first to maximize crispiness.
  • Use fresh minced garlic for the best robust flavor.
  • Check wings during baking to avoid overcooking and drying out.
  • Grate Parmesan cheese fresh; pre-grated often contains additives.
  • Use a wire rack when baking to ensure even heat circulation and crisping.
  • Toss wings in sauce immediately after cooking to help the butter mixture cling perfectly.
