Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 4 fresh lobster tails
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley or chives, chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Lobster Tails: Using kitchen scissors, carefully cut down the top shell of each lobster tail to expose the meat while keeping the shell intact for presentation. Gently loosen the meat from the shell, resting it on top to ensure even cooking.
  2. Cook the Lobster Tails: Steam or briefly boil the lobster tails until they are bright red and the meat is opaque, about 5-7 minutes. Avoid overcooking to keep the lobster tender and juicy.
  3. Make the Cream Sauce: In a pan over medium heat, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant but not brown. Slowly add heavy cream while stirring, then simmer gently to thicken. Finish with lemon juice, salt, and pepper to taste.
  4. Combine and Heat Through: Place lobster meat back into the pan with the cream sauce and spoon the sauce over. Cook together for a minute or two to let the flavors meld and the lobster soak up the creamy goodness.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle chopped fresh herbs on top for color and a fresh burst of flavor before transferring to serving plates.

Notes

  • Choose fresh or properly thawed lobster tails for the best texture and flavor.
  • Don’t overcook lobster to prevent tough, rubbery meat.
  • Use full-fat heavy cream for a thick, rich sauce.
  • Add lemon juice incrementally to brighten the sauce without overpowering it.
  • Combine lobster with sauce immediately after cooking to maintain tenderness and moisture.
