Ingredients

Scale

Slider Filling

  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken breast
  • 6 strips thick-cut bacon, cooked crispy and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese (or more, as desired)
  • 1 cup lettuce or spinach leaves

Buns and Toasting

  • 8 to 10 slider buns
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened (for toasting)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Cook chicken breasts until fully cooked through by boiling, baking, or pan-searing according to your preference. Once cooked, shred the chicken finely using two forks or your hands to achieve the perfect texture.
  2. Cook the Bacon: Cook bacon strips until crisp but not burnt, ensuring a satisfying crunch and smoky flavor. Drain excess grease on paper towels and crumble or slice the bacon into smaller pieces.
  3. Mix the Filling: In a bowl, combine shredded chicken, cooked bacon pieces, and ranch dressing. Stir well until the chicken is evenly coated with the creamy ranch. Optionally, mix in shredded cheddar cheese now or add it later during assembly.
  4. Toast the Buns: Lightly butter each slider bun. Toast the buns in a frying pan or oven until they are golden brown and slightly crispy to add texture and prevent sogginess.
  5. Assemble Your Sliders: Place a layer of lettuce or spinach on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Spoon the chicken bacon ranch mixture generously on top, add a slice of cheddar cheese if not mixed in earlier, then cover with the top bun.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken for extra convenience and enhanced flavor.
  • Don’t skip buttering and toasting the buns for added flavor and texture.
  • Customize ranch dressing by mixing in garlic powder, paprika, or hot sauce for more depth and a spicy twist.
  • Serve sliders fresh and warm for the best taste experience.
  • Choose high-quality slider buns that are soft but not dense or dry.
  • Leftover sliders can be wrapped individually and refrigerated for up to 3 days.
  • For freezing, omit lettuce, wrap tightly, and freeze for up to 2 months.
  • Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes to keep buns crispy and filling hot.
